1. Services Provided We provide process serving, deposition officer services, photocopying, court filing/e-filing, skip tracing, e-recording, and related services nationwide. | What We Do: We process serve and file legal papers nationwide, deposition officers for subpoenas, a professional photocopier, scans, and more. |
2. Client Responsibilities You must provide accurate and complete documents. You are responsible for making sure they are legally valid. | Your Part: Give us the right documents. Make sure they’re the correct ones and properly filled out. |
3. Payment Terms Payment is due when you order unless you have an account with a card on file. For accounts, your card will be automatically charged at the start of each billing cycle (usually the first of the month). Court/government fees must be prepaid. All fees are non-refundable once work begins. We do not review documents for accuracy, completeness, or whether they are the correct forms, and we do not provide legal advice. Any court rejections or errors are the client’s responsibility. | Payments: Pay when you order. If you have an account, we’ll charge your saved card automatically each month for all services from that billing cycle. Court/government fees are extra. Once we start work, there are no refunds. Important: We do not give legal advice or check your paperwork. If the court rejects your documents, that’s your responsibility. |
4. Service Attempts & Results Payment covers the attempt to serve, not a guarantee of success. We provide a Proof of Service or a Non-Service Report. | Results: You’re paying for the attempt. You’ll get proof if it’s served or a report if it isn’t. |
5. Cancellations & Refunds Cancellations must be in writing before work begins. No refunds once work starts. Rush/special handling fees are always non-refundable. For monthly accounts, once a charge is processed, it covers all services in that billing cycle and cannot be refunded. | Cancellations: Cancel before we start = refund (minus costs). If we already started, no refund. Rush jobs are never refundable. Monthly accounts: once your card is charged for that cycle, it’s final. |
6. Limitation of Liability We are not liable for indirect or incidental damages. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service. | Our Responsibility We’ll do our job professionally, but if something goes wrong, the most we’ll refund is the fee you paid for that job. |
7. Confidentiality All documents and information are kept confidential unless required by law. | Privacy: Your information is safe with us unless the law says we must share it. |
8. Compliance (CUF) We comply with all state and federal laws, including Commercially Useful Function (CUF) rules. | Following the Rules We follow all laws and regulations for legal support services. |
9. Governing Law This agreement is governed by California or Texas law, depending on where the service takes place. | Legal Stuff: If there’s a dispute, it will be handled under California or Texas law in local courts where we work. |
10. Modifications We may update these terms at any time. Updated terms are posted on JPLPS.com. | Updates: We may change these terms. The latest version is always on JPLPS.com. |
11. Entire Agreement This is the full agreement and replaces any prior agreements. | Agreement: This is the whole deal between you and JPLPS. |
