Serve Subpoenas Across State Lines Through One Company

You should not have to find and manage a different process server for every address. JPL coordinates your subpoena assignments through local servers while remaining your point of contact. We handle the service coordination, so your team has one place for questions and updates.
Tell us where your case is pending, where the recipient is located, and when service is needed. We confirm service options for the address and assignment. For California service and witness-fee information, visit California Subpoena Service.
Choose the service you need
Types of Subpoenas We Serve
Witness Subpoenas
Service of issued subpoenas directing a witness to attend a trial or hearing. Provide the appearance date, location, and witness-payment instructions.
Business Records Subpoenas
Service on businesses and custodians of records. Include the records request, production date, and any required accompanying documents.
Deposition Subpoenas
Service of subpoenas requiring attendance at a deposition, with or without documents. Tell us the service deadline and any special instructions.
JPL serves the documents you supply. Subpoena issuance, legal requirements, and any necessary court authorization remain the responsibility of the client or attorney.
Clear rates before you order
Nationwide Subpoena Service Rates
Published process service rates are per party, per address. Confirm the rate and availability for your subpoena assignment before ordering.
These timeframes refer to the first attempt, not completed service. Location or assignment details may require a different rate. We contact you for approval before proceeding at that rate.
What Is Included?
- Up to six attempts, depending on location
- Gas and mileage
- Proof or affidavit of service after successful service
- Online status updates and secure document uploads
Witness payments and other charges are separate. Witness fees, records-custodian charges, deposition officer services, and court filing are not included in the service rates above. Contact JPL to confirm payment arrangements and any additional costs for your assignment.
For multiple recipients or an unusual assignment, request a subpoena service quote. Provide each address and your deadline so we can confirm the scope.
Out-of-state subpoena service
Before Sending a Subpoena to Another State
Serving an out-of-state subpoena and obtaining authority to use it in that state are separate steps. Requirements depend on the court, case, and location. Ask your attorney or the appropriate court to confirm whether local issuance, domestication, notices, or other steps are required before service.
Send JPL the documents ready for service, the destination address, and your instructions. If you also need administrative assistance, contact us to confirm what is available and the separate scope and fees. JPL does not provide legal advice or determine whether your subpoena is legally sufficient.
Tell us your deadline before ordering. Rush availability depends on the location and assignment. A first-attempt timeframe does not guarantee completed service or extend a legal deadline.
Simple ordering. One team.

Business records support
Subpoena Service and Deposition Officer Services
Subpoena service delivers your documents to the recipient. A deposition officer assignment concerns receiving records produced in response to a business records subpoena. These are separate services with separate fees.
Nationwide subpoena service does not mean nationwide deposition officer availability. Before naming JPL as deposition officer, contact us to confirm availability for your state and matter, the delivery instructions, and applicable setup, processing, and shipping charges.
Visit Deposition Officer Services for our records-receipt role and published fees. JPL receives what the provider supplies; this service does not include court reporting, reviewing production for completeness, or pursuing missing records.
Answers before you order
Nationwide Subpoena Service FAQs
Can JPL coordinate subpoena service in another state?
Yes. JPL coordinates nationwide subpoena service through local servers, with one JPL team for instructions and updates. Send the destination address and deadline so we can confirm the service options for your assignment.
How much does nationwide subpoena service cost?
Published service options are $99 Standard, $125 Priority, and $175 Same Day per party, per address. Location and assignment details may affect the rate or availability. Witness payments and records-related services are separate. Any different service rate requires your approval.
Can I send several subpoenas through one company?
Yes. Send the documents and service instructions for each recipient, including each address and deadline. JPL coordinates the assignments while remaining your point of contact. Rates are per party, per address.
Does an out-of-state subpoena need to be domesticated?
Requirements vary by court, case, and destination. Have your attorney or the appropriate court confirm any required local issuance or domestication before submitting documents for service. Contact JPL separately about available administrative assistance.
Can JPL serve a business records subpoena and receive the records?
Ask us to confirm both assignments for your matter before naming JPL as deposition officer. Subpoena service and records receipt have separate fees, and nationwide service coverage does not establish deposition officer availability in every state.
How quickly can service be completed?
The service level determines when the first attempt begins. Completed service depends on locating the recipient and the assignment details. Contact us before ordering if you have an urgent deadline.
What happens after successful service?
JPL provides proof or an affidavit of service. You can follow assignment updates through the client portal. If you need the proof filed with the court, arrange that separate service with our team.
